Sloppy Joe Sliders

Sloppy Joe Sliders

When I was a kid, Sloppy Joes were my Mom’s go-to dish if she did not feel like cooking. These and Hamburger Helper lol Making these were a true nostalgic feeling. I could have made the sauce from scratch but I decided to keep it simple and easy and use Manwich, which I still love! I just added additional spices to kick it up a notch. Feel free to make your own sauce, but Manwich is just as good. You can use ground turkey or ground chicken for this dish, but I used ground beef. Fully cook 1 pound of ground beef.

Once fully cooked, drain the excess oil from the ground beef and set aside.

In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter, 1 tsp of minced garlic, 1/2 cup diced white onion and 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper and cook until the veggies are soft.

Once the veggies are soft, add the ground beef back to the skillet. Season with 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder, 1 tsp of cajun seasoning and 1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce.

Add 1 16 oz can of Manwich sauce and stir well. Cook about 10 minutes.

Cut slider buns in half and place the bottom half in an oven safe dish.

Add shredded cheese on the buns and add the sloppy joe mixture on top of the cheese and then top it off with more cheese.

Top with the buns and spread melted butter on top of the buns. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Add the sliders into a 375 degree oven and cook 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.

Cut the sliders and serve with your favorite side dish. Serve and ENJOY!
