Crawfish Bread

Crawfish Bread

It’s officially football season and I am always thinking of easy recipes that can feed a crowd. Normally, I would make a dip but I decided this Crawfish Bread is just as good! It’s basically a dip already on the bread. You won’t have to worry about any double dipping LOL! I love that you can get creative with this recipe by changing the types of cheese and the seafood. You could use shrimp and crab and make a seafood bread but I used what I had on hand. Cut 1 red bell pepper and 1/2 medium sized onion and set aside.

Cut the loaf of French bread in half and spread softened garlic butter on top. If you dont have any garlic butter, feel free to use regular softened butter.

Add the bread to a 375 degree oven for 5 minutes or until the butter has fully melted on the bread.

In a pan, add 1 tbsp of butter and once the butter melts, add the diced onion and red bell pepper and 1 tbsp of minced garlic and stir well. Cook until the veggies are soft.

Once the veggies are soft, add 1 12 oz pack of crawfish tails and season with 1 tsp of onion powder, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of cajun seasoning, 1 tsp parsley, 1 tsp of fresh lemon juice and stir well. Add 1/2 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese and stir well. Taste to make sure it is seasoned to your liking.

Sprinkle 1 1/2 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese on top of the bread.

Spoon the crawfish mixture on top of the cheese. Make sure it is evenly spreaded.

Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Add the bread back to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted. Put on broil for 1 minute to add a small crust to the cheese.

Garnish with chopped green onion and cut evenly. Serve and ENJOY!
