Easy Chili

Homemade Chili is an easy and delicious one-pot meal that everyone in the house will love! The best part, you can eat it by itself with crackers or cornbread or you can serve it on top of hot dogs or frito pies. For this recipe I used ground beef but you could use ground turkey or beef stew meat. Fully cook 1lb of ground beef and drain any excess oil.

Dice 1/2 of onion and 1 whole bell pepper and add it to the ground beef and stir.

To the ground beef and veggies, add 1 pack of Chili seasoning, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of chili powder, 1 tbsp of paprika, 6-7 dashes of Worcestershie sauce, 1 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes, 1 15 oz can of dark kidney beans and 3 cups of water and stir well.

Cover the pot with a lid and cook for 45 minutes on medium heat.

Remove the lid and season with salt & pepper (to taste), 1/8 tsp of cayenne and 1 tsp of sugar. Stir and taste to make sure it is seasoned to your liking. Be careful, it will be hot. Cover the pot again and cook another 15-20 minutes or until the chili has thickened.

Once it has thickened, serve with saltine crackers or cornbread. Serve and ENJOY!
