Smoked Chicken Thighs
Smoked Chicken Thighs
Its officially grilling season and these Smoked Chicken Thighs should definitely be on the menu. They were extremely juicy and flavorful. Golden Steer sent me their new All Shook Up seasoning which has a smoked hickory and brown sugar taste that worked perfectly with these chicken thighs. They were smoky with a hint of sweetness. This seasoning would also go great with some ribs and brisket but since I needed to get dinner on the table quick, I chose chicken thighs. Add 1/2 stick of melted butter and 2 tbsp of olive oil to 2 lbs of chicken thighs and make sure they are fully coated.
Season the chicken with 3 tbsp of Golden Steer’s All Shook Up seasoning (or a hickory dry rub), 1 tbsp of garlic salt, 1 tbsp of paprika and 1 tbsp of onion powder and make sure each piece of chicken is fully coated in the seasoning.
Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Using my Ninja Woodfire Grill, add the chicken thighs to the grill and change to the smoke option. Add hickory wood chips to the grill and smoke at 300 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Remove from the smoker and allow the chicken to rest for at least 10 minutes. Serve with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal. Serve and ENJOY!
