Garlic Pork Chops w/Mushroom Cream Sauce

garlic pork chops w/mushroom cream sauce

If you have been following me for awhile now, you know that I love pasta and one pot meals! One pot meals are a sign that the meal is quick, easy and very little clean up. This dish is no different and its extremely flavorful! I used pork chops for this dish but you could also use boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs. Season 4-5 1 inch thick pork chops with 2 tbsp of paprika, 2 tbsp of garlic salt and 2 tbsp of onion powder. Make sure they are fully seasoned.

In a skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once it is melted and hot, add the pork chops. Cook 5-7 minutes per side or until browned.

Once the pork chops are brown on each side, remove them from the pan and set aside. Add 1 tbsp of butter and 2 cloves of chopped garlic to the pan.

Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms and saute for 1 minute.

Add 1 cup of heavy cream and 1/2 cup of chicken stock and stir well.

Add the pork chops to the sauce and cover with a lid. cook for 10-15 minutes or until the pork chops are tender.

Remove the lid and cook for another 3-5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite veggie for a complete meal. ENJOY!
