Ham & Swiss Sliders

Ham & Swiss Sliders

Its that time of the year when the kids are out of school for at least 2 weeks and you don’t feel like cooking since you have been cooking for the Holidays. These ham & Swiss sliders are simple, easy and quick to get on the dinner table. As a kid, a ham and cheese sandwich was my go-to lunch, snack or dinner if my Mom did not feel like cooking. I would just eat meat, cheese and bread and it was perfect! So you know I love these sliders :) You can get creative with these and use turkey and Swiss or switch up the cheese. You can also substitute Hawaiian rolls instead of the brioche buns that I used. Cut the rolls in half and put the bottom half in a 9x13 baking dish.

On the bottom layer, spread 4 tbsps of honey dijon mustard. Make sure it is spread evenly.

Add 8 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the honey dijon mustard. Make sure the buns are fully covered in cheese.

Add 12-14 slices of thinly sliced ham on top of the cheese. Make sure each bun is covered with ham.

Add 8 more slices of Swiss cheese on top of the ham.

Add the buns on the top of the cheese.

Brush melted butter on top of the buns and sprinkle 2 tbsp of poppy seeds on top.

Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and put in a 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.

Remove from the oven and remove the aluminum foil. Put the sliders back in the oven for another 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cut the sliders evenly. Serve with chips and salad for a complete meal. Serve and ENJOY!
